OK, the second round games are winding down and the SEC is still in the thick of things ... at least on paper. Does the SEC have what it takes to nail another NCAA Basketball title or are the fans simply expecting too much?
Kentucky has the only legitimate shot at a title. Yep, the rest of the league can take it on the chin, but sometimes the truth hurts. If SEC fans are hoping for a title, then you had better put on the Blue colored glasses and pull for UK. This is not rocket science, at least not this season ... Kentucky and Tennessee are the only two SEC teams mathematically eligible for a shot at a title (couldn't resist).
I am not saying that the Wildcats from the Bluegrass State are a lock to make the Final Four, much less the Big Dance. Do the fans from the rest of the conference (read: Tennessee Vols) honestly believe their team has a legitimate shot? Seriously? no comments
For the past three year's, Tim Tebow has been the poster child for the Gator's football program. To say that Tebow will be sorely missed in Gainesville is so absurd it has become an oxymoron rather than a simple understatement. The big question is not how do the Gators survive in 2011 A.T. (After Tebow), but rather does Tebow have what it takes to make it in the NFL?

With National Signing Day now officially less than two weeks away, the real recruiting season begins. Never mind the empty promises that have been thrown at recruits for well over a year now. Teams are entering crunch time.
While many fans rely on the six letter network for their recruiting information, SECRivals leans on the most trusted recruiting service on the internet: Scout.com. We are not taking a personal shot at the rivals.com network, but truthfully, the star ranking procedures and some of the people whom are performing the rankings should raise some eye brows. If you could take the message boards from the rivals network and combine that with Scout.com's ranking experts and resident analysts, you would have the perfect recruiting service.
It is strictly a personal matter of choice.
With the recruiting finish line coming into view, where does Scout currently rank each SEC team? To say the least, the SEC is cleaning house in recruiting (so far). Now can the teams can get the players to sign on the dotted line? Granted, there are always some signing day surprises, but rest assured, this should be a banner season for the league. no comments
