If you are new to SECRivals, welcome! We are about to get this party started. With less than 100 days until the SEC football season is underway, it is time to get cranked up.
We just wanted to give you a little background about the site and our history ...
SECRivals.com was started in 2003 as a message board. It was a direct response to the dictatorial state-ran views of another message board that will remain nameless ... hello C-Diddy and Will ;)
We had a fantastic run as a message board, but at the same time, I can typically see 1-2 years down the road ... and that view was not good. So, SECR was re-tooled as a blog in its current form.
What we offer: Non-biased, honest, hard hitting opinion. Some will not agree with that statement, but they can get over it. We do not begin an article with an agenda. Never have never will.
You will be hard pressed to find another SEC related site that picks the conference or the games as well as we do. While some of the 'other guys' plainly state that "you can't pick this stuff ... can not do it" ... we have shown a history of being able to do it.

I am not saying take our picks and head to Vegas ... definitely not saying that. At the same time, I want to see any other site on the net that has a running history of being able to accurately predict in excess of 75% of SEC football games week in and week out ... show them to us ...
keep in mind that the vast majority of our competitors (in)accurately predict an average of less than 61% of the weekly games.

Like we said, if this is your first visit, welcome! Kick back and enjoy. I do tend to bite, but that is ok ... unlike some of the sites out there, I am not here to kiss your ass for page views. I do this for fun and do have a real job that pays real money unlike several of my competitors.
As you can see, I am not afraid to stir the punch bowl ... in fact, at times, I am not afraid to pour the damned thing out on top of someone's head ... if you are looking for a politically correct, bend to your homerism slant, then you have definitely come to the wrong place.
If you are looking for honest, hard hitting opinion, then you have found your new home.
One thing to keep an eye on: since you made it to the bottom of the article (LMAO) .... we put one to two "Easter Eggs" in articles every so often ... while many 'do not get it' ... the Easter Eggs are so apparently wrong it will make you go "WTF?" ... when you find the Easter Egg ... be the first to send me a private message on twitter (SECRivals) and you will win a cool little prize.
