I, along with the help of many friends over the years, have been plugging along here at SECRivals ... just over seven years to be exact ... a LOT has happened since 2003.  A LOT.  Simply put, it is time. I have struggled with this decision for a long time.  I have put more into this site than I will ever get out of it.  Whether that input be time ... or money.

One thing that I have painfully learned is that time is not a renewable commodity.  Like a 16 year old kid who believes invincibility to be an attribute ... I have allowed my priorities to become jumbled ... and mixed up ... and to be blunt ... screwed up as a football bat.

I am ashamed to admit that I have allowed my screwed up priorities to affect my family ... and I never should have.  Ever.  Because God has blessed me so greatly with a family ... and I allowed myself to get off track ... way off track ... and I am not invincible.

I have decided that it is time.  Time to take a step back ... time to try to become the person that I was before (there has to be a song in that one) ... the person that could always be counted on ... by his family.

I have not been that person in a long time ... it has affected my personal life to the extent that I have needed to catch my breath ... and get my priorities straight.

I have looked for someone for the better part of the past six months to take over the reins here at SECR.  I believe I have found that person.

Without further adieu, I would like to introduce everyone to Brandon Hamblen.  Brandon has been guest posting here for the past couple of weeks and has the passion and fire that is only evoked from SEC Sports.

Brandon will take over the day-to-day, week-to-week comings and goings here at SECRivals.  This change is effective immediately.

I know my friends in the greater Athens, GA area will likely rejoice, but rest assured that I will be around from time to time ... so you guys and gals aren't off the hook in that department, but at least for a while, i can no longer make this site part of my daily regimen.

I have more important things to do ... I need to get my family reunited.
